Abstract:

Objective      To expound the calculation principle of the intraocular lens power after LASIK surgery with triangular function method, and to preliminarily verify its feasibility and accuracy. Methods      Corneal refractive diopter of 20 patients was calculated with clinical history method, corneal front surface curvature method and triangular function method. We re-measured the ocual axial length and calculated the IOL power with Hollady formula. Results       There were significant differences (P<0.05) among three Results  of corneal refractive diopter and IOL power. There were no significant differences (P>0.05) between the clinical history method and triangular method, but both of them had significant differences (P<0.05) compared with  corneal front surface curvature method. Conclusion       The triangular method may accurately calculate the curvature radius of the corneal surface after LASIK surgery, and it only demanded to know the pre-operative corneal curvature and the surgery parameters. The triangular method is more simple and practical than the clinical history method, but its real effect in clinical practice needs to be verified.
