Immunosuppressive treatment for non-infectious uveitis and its effect on cytokines

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of immunosuppressive treatment on noninfectious uveitis and to analyse its influence on cytokines. Methods A total of 57 patients with non-infectious uveitis treated in July 2012 to October 2012 were enrolled in this study. Based on different immunosuppressant drug ingredients, they were divided into the experimental group(hormones) and the control group(hormone preparations). Results ① The immunoglobulin Ig-A, G and C3, 4 were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group; ③ The greatest impact on cytokines is glucocorticoid, followed by anti-metabolites drugs, alkylating agent, T cell inhibitors, and biological preparations. Conclusion The effect of non-infectious uveitis with immune inhibitors, can effectively improve disease cure rate, of which the effect of glucocorticoid best, therefore, glucocorticoid is a wide range of drugs in the treatment of infective uveitis.
