Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of the use of three-dimensional(3D)printing technology in the standardized training of ear, nose and throat(ENT)resident physicians, as well as exploring its feasibility and effectiveness. Methods The ear, nose, throat, etc models were 3D printed and was used in combination with the standardized training which ENT residents usually receive to teach training theory. Both operation guidance and practice were taught using the aforementioned techniques. Results The 3D printed model helped the physicians to form a spatial stereoscopic awareness, better understand and master complex anatomical structures in a short time, improve their surgical skills and shorten their training period. Conclusion 3D printing technology is a good prospect in improving the standardized training of ENT resident physicians.
