Of them, 30 had open laryngeal and tracheal injuries and 15 had closed ones. ResultsAll were subjected to explorations, 40 cases successfully underwent extubation, 12 of whom were found hoarse; 4 had laryngeal stenosis,  2 of whom were subjected to extubation after second operations and 2 cases were subjected to delayed extubation because they were subjected to granulation tissues or scar stricture removal by laser or reoperation; and 1 who committed suicide gave up the continuing treatment and  died 2days later. ConclusionLaryngeal and tracheal injuries should be recommended in emergency and early exploration should be performed on severely close ones.
