Abstract:

Objective     To explore diagnosis and surgical treatment of cervical neuriemmoma. Methods       A retrospective analysis of 6 patients with cervical neuriemmoma was performed. Clinical manifestations before and after treatment, diagnostic methods and treatment options were summarized. Results      Diagnosis could be achieved based on clinical manifestations, laboratory examinations (ultrasonography, CT, MRI), and cytology of fine needle aspiration. Correct preoperative diagnosis was made in all 6 cases, which was confirmed by postoperative pathological findings. Surgical resections were successfully performed on all patients without complications. Conclusions      For patients with neuriemmoma, ultrasonography, CT examination, and especially fine needle aspiration biopsy, are helpful for diagnosis. Surgical resection is the most effective therapy and complications can be avoided by delicate operation.
