Epidemic features of pediatric allergic rhnitis in Zhuhai City

Abstract: To investigate the epidemic features of pediatric allergic rhnitis(AR) and its relatedrisk factors in Zhuhai City. MethodsA questionnaire survey on AR was conducted for pupils aged from 7 to 11 from April to September, 2006. Patients suspected as AR received specialist examinations. Results854 papers were effective, and the prevalence of AR was 15.3%. There were no significant differences between males and females. Being sensitive to some drugs and foods, patients were also affected by the dwelling conditions and family aggregation.ConclusionThis provides a path to know the epidemic features of children with AR in Zhuhai City and supports epidemiologic materials to prevent and treat AR.
