Prevalence of inhaled allergens for patient with allergic rhinitis in Wuzhou city in Guangxi

Abstract: Objective To investigate the inhaled allergens in patients with allergic rhinitis in Wuzhou city. Methods A total of 2 800 patients enrolled in November 2010 to May 2013 in our hospital with suspected allergic rhinitis underwent skin prick tests. Results A total of 2 221(79.32%)patients presented positive reaction. Among the positive cases in inhalation group, the most common allergen was flour mites(91.85%), then was house dust mite(88.25%) and Blattodea(47.55%). Conclusion Flour mite and house dust are the most common allergens in Wuzhou city.
