Epidemiology of snoring in the Qingdao area

Abstract: Objective To investigate the ratio and related factors of snoring in the Qingdao area and provide basic data for epidemiology. Method From June 2005 to December 2006, 1756 persons from 459 families were investigated by questionnaires. Results Snoring during the night was found in 59 cases (37 males and 22 females) in this group. The total ratio was 3.03%. The incidence in males was higher than in female, also it was higher in smokers than in non-smokers. Conclusion Smoke and age are risk factors for snoring.
