Abstract: To explore the significance of the cell cycle in sino-nasal neoplasm by flow cytometry (FCM). Methods30 cases of paraffin-embedded malignant tumors in nasal cavities or sinuses served as the experimental group and 30 cases of normal mucosa of deflection of the nasal septum as the control group. The DNA index(DI) value and the S-phase fraction(SPF) values were determined by FCM and their correlation was analyzed. ResultsThe DI and SPF values of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group. ConclusionFlow cytometric analysis of DI and SPF plays an important role in diagnosis of sino-nasal neoplasm.
