Abstract:

Objective   To introduce a surgical approach to treat front dearticulation of the cartilage of the nasal septum. Methods   All patients with front dearticulation of the cartilage of the nasal septum were corrected through a labiogingival groove approach. A transverse incision of the ectolabium gingival mucous membrane was made, and two sides of the membrane of the septal cartilage were separated, and the dislocated nasal septum was fixed. Results   Nasal cavities of patients were unblocked, and symptoms of rhinocleisis and discharges disappeared. After a follow-up of half a year,  complications such as collapse of the nose tip and perforation of the nasal septum were not found. The curative rate was 100%. Conclusion  It is safe and effective to treat front dearticulation of the cartilage of the nasal septum through a labiogingival groove approach.
