Use of an intranasal endoscopic approach for treatment of palatal midline cyst in 21 cases.

Abstract: Objective To explore the postoperative outcomes of the intranasal endoscopic approach for resection of midline palatal cysts. Methods A total of 21 cases were treated by excision the apophysis on the nasal floor combined with endonasal drainage, and they were followed up after the operation. Results In all cases, the obstruction was relieved and no recurrence was observed on follow-up examination after 1 year and 4 months and after 3 years and 6 months. Conclusion These surgical approaches are feasible and are associated with fewer postoperative complications and good curative effect.
