A comparision between the enameloplasty sealant technique and the conventional saelant technique

Abstract: Objective： To compare the clinical effect and preservation rate of the sealant between the enameloplasty sealant technique(EST) group and the conventional sealant technique(CST)group. Methods： One hundred and sixty cases of the first permanent molars in the mandibula were sealed by EST and CST. The preservation rate of the sealant was produced after a follow-up of 2 years. Result： The preservation rate of the sealant was 87.3% in the EST group and 63.7% in the CST group. Conclusion： EST is superior to CST in clinical effect.
