Abstract: To investigate the variance of the ABAD expression in the inner ears of different age mice. MethodsKuming mice were divided into three groups based on the age: two weeks, five months and one year. Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to determine the expression of ABAD in different groups. ResultsThe ABAD expression was statistically different in each group. With an increase of age, the expression of ABAD was increased. ConclusionsABAD may take part in the aging of inner ears, and it may have some relation to presbycusis.
