Closed laryngotracheal trauma (27 cases report)

Abstract:

Objective   To investigate the clinical characteristics of closed laryngotracheal trauma, and summarize the methods for the diagnosis and treatment. Methods   27  patients, who suffered from severe fracture of the laryngeal cartilage  and Ⅲ  inspiratory dyspnea,  received the operation. Results   25 cases achieved good results, except for one death and one postoperative laryngeal stenosis. Conclusion   Closed laryngotracheal trauma must be paid attention to. It is necessary for further investigation on the operation and the postoperatvie managements.
