Abstract:

Objective    To improve the understanding of cavernous vascular malformation with the primary symptom in the eye by the clinical analysis and avoid misdiagnosis. Methods    Through the analysis of two cases of the same ocular symptoms in different position, we presented an overview of this disease. Results    The 2 cases were misdiagnosed as  ocularmotor paralysis and conjunctivitis. By the orbital CT and digital subtraction angiography, we found that they were caused by cavernous vascular malformation. The patients accepted arterio-venousembolization, and eye symptoms were significantly relieved. Conclusion    It is necessary to enquire the detail medical history and improve auxiliary examination to diagnose cavernous vascular malformation with the primary symptom in the eye.
