〖KH+9.2mmD]FGF2 expression in olfactory epithelium of patients with dysosmia caused by chronic sinusitis

Abstract: To study the pathogenesis of dysosphresia in patients with chronic sinusitis, and to discuss the expression and significance of FGF2 in olfactory epithelium. Methods: There were 32 cases of chronic sinusitis in the experimental group, and 11 cases in the control group. FGF2 was examined by the method of immunohistochemistry. Results: The expression of FGF2 in the olfactory epithelium of 32 patients suffering from dysosmia was higher than in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion: FGF2 promotes regeneration in the olfactory epithelium, which is decreased notably at chronic sinusitis and may lead to dysosmia.
