Application of flaps in the reconstruction of soft palate defects

Abstract:

Soft palate deformities and velopharyngeal dysfunctions caused by soft palate defects are very significant. Scholars and clinicians have done a lot of research and published many papers about the repairing methods. In our essay, we summarize clinical experience of our work, combined with academic reports of other experts and scholars, to come up with an overview of current clinical methods and characteristics of different flaps, as well as a overlook to the future development.
