Abstract:

Diabetic macular edema in diabetic patients is one of the main causes of vision loss, and its pathogenesis is speculated to be related to blood retinal barrier breakdown and cytokine interaction. More effective treatment in clinic has been explored, and in this paper, the treatment of diabetic macular edema and the development trend are reviewed.

Key words: Diabetic macular edema, Anti-vascular endothelial growth factor complexes, Vtrectomy, Laser photocoagulation, Corticosteroid drugs
