Abstract: In this paper, we reviewed the relevant studies on glaucoma patients’ quality of life, including glaucoma-related concepts, status of quality of life, assessment instruments and influencing factors. At present, there are no sufficient assessment instruments available, and nor comprehensive studies on the psychological and social factors which can affect quality of life. In addition, clinical interventions still need to be validated. Therefore, specific assessment instruments should be developed to explore the influencing factors of quality of life in large-sample and multicentric studies.

Key words: Glaucoma, Quality of life, Influencing factors, Assessment instruments
