Abstract: To explore the efficacy and safety of no nasal packing after functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS). Methods148 patients were not packed after FESS and 60 were packed, and the clinical symptoms and complications were compared between the two groups. ResultIn the no-packing group, no serious bleeding happened, the exudation ceased in 2 to 7 hours after FESS, and no severe adhesion occurred in 3 months. ConclusionMost post-FESS patients could avoid packing so as to reduce discomfort and cost by proper management.
