Allen's test to evaluate hand's collateral circulation in normal Chinese people.

Abstract: Objective To evaluate hand's collateral circulation in normal Chinese people with Allen's test in preoperative assessment of radial forearm free flap application. Methods Objective Allen's test was performed using noninvasive oxygen saturation (SaO2) and Plethysmogram(PLETH) to evaluate the collateral circulation of radial and ulner artery in 150 normal subjects, The average recovery time of blood oxygen saturation, and average recovery time of PLETH was recorded. Results The average recovery time of oxygen saturation and verage recovery time of PLETH were (4.3±1.2) and (3.8±1.5)s, respectively. Conclusion Objective Allen's test can provide a valuable reference for the clinical.
