Application of hysteroscopy during surgery for difficult glottis exposure in patients with laryngeal lesions

Abstract: Objective To investigate the usefulness of hysteroscopy during surgery for difficult laryngeal exposure and compare its visual field with that of microscopy. Methods Based on the Yamamoto grading method, 45 patients with difficult laryngeal exposure were selected. The visual field images were obtained using hysteroscopy and microscopy during the surgery. The niduses of 38 patients were removed using hysteroscopy during the surgery. Results Thirty-eight patients were successfully treated with hysteroscopy guidance. Hysteroscopy has more advantages related to the operating visual field than microscopy. Conclusion Hysteroscopy can be used forvisual guidance during interventions for difficult laryngeal exposure, and it has more advantages related to the operating visual field than microscopy.
