Therapeutic efficacy of nonoperation for chronic sinusitis in children:A multifactor analysis

Abstract: To investigate the factors influence in the nonoperation therapeutic efficacy for chronic sinusitis in children. Method: Logistic regression analysis was performed for sex, age, case history, sinusitis stage, involved sinus number, adenoid hypertrophy, allergic rhinitis, puncture antral and course of treatment in 58 patients treated with combined therapy. Result: Case history, adenoid hypertrophy, allergic rhinitis and course of treatment were the important factors influenced the nonoperation therapeutic efficacy. Conclusion: Full dose and course of treatment should be applied to children with chronic sinusitis, and adenoid hypertrophy and allergic rhinitis should be treated actively.
