Abstract:

Objective  To study the clinical effect of the heterogeneity (cattle) acellular deunal matrix in repairing mucosa defect of the nasal septum. Methods  Twenty-seven cases of mucosa defect or perforation of the nasal septum were treated with the heterogeneity acellular deunal matrix after surgery on the nasal septum. Results  During a follow-up of 4 weeks to 2 years, twenty-four patients who had undergone nasal septal reconstruction or tumor resection had no perforation, and three patients with nasal septal perforation were successfully repaired. Conclusion  The heterogeneity acellular deunal matrix can be easily obtained and it is a new method to repair mucosa defect of the nasal septum.
