Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy in treatment of child sinusitis

Abstract:

Objective  To observe the effect of tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy in the treatment of sinusitis. Methods  63 children with sinusitis were treated with tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy, and then were given anti-inflammatory treatment for three days, sprayed three times per day with nano-silver antimicrobial gel and took azithromycin particles once per day, lasting for 10 days. Results  One month later, nasal obstruction, purulent snivel, dizziness, headache, snoring and other symptoms of 61 cases disappeared, while two cases of deviation of the nasal septum had a slight feeling of nasal obstruction, and snoring was improved. Conclusion  Tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy is effective for those unaffected by drugs and at the same time it is effective for those with snoring.
