Abstract:

Objective    To observe the clinical efficacy of dispersing wind and clearing heat method to treat postoperative inflammatory reaction of anterior segment. Methods    128 anterior segment surgical cases (including cataract/ secondary intraocular lens (IOL) implantation/glaucoma and trauma of eye) were included and randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,  each group had of 64 cases. All patients were treated with regular anti-inflammatory medicines and corticosteroid eye-drops. In addition, the patients in the treatment group were treated with extra formula of dispersing wind and clearing heat.  Results    The inflammation after anterior segment performed was quickly contained and inflammation duration became shorter in the treatment group compared with the control group. The treatment efficacy between the two groups was significantly different. Conclusion    The formula of anterior segment performed is remarkably effective for inflammatory reaction of anterior segment postope.
