Endoscopic medial maxillectomy in treatment of inverted nasal papilloma

Abstract:

Objective〓〖WTBZ〗To investigate the characteristics of endoscopic medial maxillectomy in treatment of inverted nasal papilloma. 〖WTHZ〗Methods〓〖WTBZ〗33 cases of endoscopic medial maxillectomy were retrospectively analyzed. Bleeding amount, operation time, complications and recurrence were compared between the endoscopic treatment group and the traditional treatment group. 〖WTHZ〗Results〓〖WTBZ〗In the endoscopic group, an average 80mL of bleeding, 2-hour operation and no severe complications occurred, and the recurrence rate was 14.2%, however, an average 500?mL of bleeding, 3-hour operation and 3 complications were found, and the recurrence rate was 35.7% in the traditional group. 〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〓〖WTBZ〗Endoscopic medial maxillectomy is an effective procedure for inverted nasal papilloma.
