Abstract:

Objective      To investigate the distribution of dry eye and analyze the factors associated with dry eye and provide clinical guidance for prevention and treatment.  Methods    112 dry eye outpatients were taken as the research objects. We did a questionnaire survey and several related tests(including tear film break-up time, Schirmer I test, and corneal fluorescein staining) were used to obtain  information of these dry eye patients. Results     In 112 cases of dry eye (31 males and 81 females), the prevalence progressively increased with age. The incidence of dry eye syndrome was related to a variety of factors, including local antibiotics drops, overuse of eyes, chronic ocular surface diseases, connective tissue disease and diabetes. Conclusions      Dry eye is a symptom of eye diseases caused by age, sex and many other factors. Patients with clinical symptoms need to take related tests to get a clear diagnosis and treatment.
