Abstract: Age-related macular degeneration(AMD)is a major problem, and is the leading cause of visual impairment in individuals aged above 65 years. Cataract and AMD often coexist in the elderly, and selection of intraocular lens for patients with both cataract and AMD is still controversial. This review summarizes the application of intraocular lens for patients with AMD in recent years.

Key words: Cataract, Intraocular lens, Age-related macular degeneration
