Abstract:

Objective   To determine the expression of squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC) and to explore its clinical significance in the patients with sinonosal  squamous carcinoma. Methods   Serum SCC of  35   patients with sinonosal  squamous carcinoma was detected by MEIA, and the clinical characters and the clinical significance of SCC were analyzed. Results   It showed that the positive rate of SCC expression was 54.29% in the sinonosal squamous carcinoma group, 35.0% in the nasal inverted papilloma group, and 6.67% in the nasal polyps group (P<0.05). The content of SCC was closely related to the clinical stage and pathological grade of sinonosal carcinoma (P<0.05). Conclusion   SCC-Ag is useful in diagnosis and clinical monitoring for sinonasal squamous carcinoma.

Key words: Squamous cell carcinoma, SCC Ag, Sinonasal neoplasm
