Experience of Professor SUN Haibo in the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis

Abstract: Chronic rhinosinusitis is one of the most common diseases encountered in patients in the otorhinolaryngology department. This paper summarizes the clinical experiences of Professor SUN Haibo in the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis. Professor SUN Haibo points out that the underlying basis of the pathogenesis of chronic rhinosinusitis is a disorder of the movement of qi and obstruction of the orifices. Further, he emphasizes the importance of the four local methods of diagnosis in clinical practice and treatment by elevating qi and clearing turbid; regulating liver and spleen; and ventilating lung qi.
