Abstract:

Objective   To investigate the expression of CyclinD1 protein and its role in the occurrence and development of middle ear cholesteatoma. Methods   Immunohistochemical technology(PV-6000) was applied to examine the expression of CyclinD1 in 30 cases of cholesteatoma tissues and 15 cases of normal auricle skin. Result   The positive expression rate of CyclinD1 protein in the middle ear cholesteatoma tissues was 70.0% and 26.7% in normal auricle skin(χ2=5.951,P<0.05). Conclusion   The overexpression of CyclinD1 suggested the hyperproliferative nature of cholesteatoma epithelium. CyclinD1 may play an important role in the formation and development of middle ear cholesteatoma.
