Abstract: Objective: To compare the curative effect of three approaches for inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Methods: Lateral rhinotomy was performed in 9 cases, extended sublabial incision in 5 cases, and endoscopic sinus surgery in 21 cases. Result: After a followup of 6 to 36 months, relapse was found in 2 patients with lateral rhinotomy, 1 with extended sublabial incision and 2 with endoscopic sinus surgery. Conclusion: Compared with the other two approaches, endoscopic sinus surgery has more advantages, such as clear field, correct operation scope, less bleeding and good effect.
