Abstract: To study the changes of blood pressure in patients with nasal obstruction accompanied by persistent hypertension after nasal endoscopic surgery (NES). Methods: Nasal endoscopic surgery was performed on 58 patients. The blood pressure was detected before operation, two weeks and six months after operation. Results: The systolic pressure before operation, two weeks and six months after operation was （164.5±63.1）mmHg,（143.0±51.6）mmHg and (141.0±59.8) mmHg; the diastolic pressure was (96.0±52.3) mmHg,（82.2±38.4）mmHg and (80.4±41.5) mmHg respectively. Both systolic and diastolic blood pressures were lower two weeks and six months after operation than before operation (P＜0.01). Conclusion: NES as an assistant method is effective for controlling blood pressure of the patients with nasal obstruction accompanied by persistent hypertension.
