Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in with sudden hearing loss patients with large vestibular aqueduct syndrome. Methods A total of 9 cases(11 ears)of sudden hearing loss with large vestibular aqueduct syndrome were treated with ten times of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in two weeks. Results The therapy was well tolerated. Pure tone audiometry revealed significant improvement after therapy. Conclusion All cases present good tolerance and significant effect. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can be one of the therapeutic methods for sudden hearing loss patients with large vestibular aqueduct syndrome.
