Clinical application of CT-guided percutaneous biopsy in otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery

Abstract: Objective To investigate a method for percutaneous biopsy for head and neck tumors. Methods Percutaneous biopsy was performed on 24 cases of head and neck tumors under the guidance of Simens Somatom HiQ-S CT, GE Lightspeed QX/I helical CT and with Angiomed automatic biopsy gun. Result All reached the right positions and no complications were produced. Conclusions CT-guided percutaneous biopsy of head and neck tumors has a high success rate and diagnostic accuracy rate with little complication. It is worth being clinically applied as a complementary method for endoscopy.
