Abstract:

Objective〓〖WTBZ〗To explore the etiological factors and treatment for kaino-sinus syndrome. 〖WTHZ〗Methods〓〖WTBZ〗The clinical data of 3 cases of kaino-sinus syndrome following maxillary sinus or sphenoidal sinus surgeries were retrospectively analyzed. 〖WTHZ〗Results〓〖WTBZ〗Excessively enlarged sinus apertures, excessive removal of tissues and fore-lying sinus apertures were causes for kaino-sinus syndrome; also, the mental type and function state of the autonomic nerve system were related to kaino-sinus syndrome. 〖WTHZ〗Conclusions〓〖WTBZ〗In nasal cavity and sinuses surgeries, lesions should be completely removed, and also the structure of the tissues, especially of the sinus apertures should be maintained.
