Trans-scleral suture fixation in implantation of foldable intraocular lenses

Abstract:

Objective〓〖WTBZ〗To explore the clinical effects of trans-scleral suture fixation in foldable intraocular lens implantation in eyes without complete posterior lens capsule supports. 〖WTHZ〗Methods〓〖WTBZ〗16 cases (17 eyes) were treated with trans-scleral ciliary sulcus fixation of foldable intraocular lenses. The operative methods, surgical results and complications were analyzed. 〖WTHZ〗Results〓〖WTBZ〗Followed up from 6 to 30 months,　no serious intra-operative complications occurred, and the best corrected visual acuity was improved. Intraocular lenses were dislocated in 2 cases. 〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〓〖WTBZ〗Ciliary sulcus fixation of the foldable intraocular lenses is a safe and effective method in eyes without complete posterior lens capsule supports.
