The application of standardized patients in case-based learning of otolaryngology.

Abstract: Case-based learning has been widely used in otolaryngology education. However, the application of standardized patients in case-based learning is still in its infancy. It plays an important role in stimulating students’ interest in learning, cultivating their clinical skills and clinical thinking, enhancing their communication skills, and promoting humanistic care. In this paper, the application experience of standardized patients in case-based learning in the Department of Otolaryngology. The Second Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, is summarized.
