Clinical observation of 131 cases of lacrimal canalicular anastomosis by microscopy

Abstract: Objective To observe the post-operative effect of lacrimal canalicular anastomosis under microscopy. Methods A retrospective study was made for 131 patients who had received lacrimal canalicular anastomosis by microscope between August 2008 and August 2012 in Huai'an First People's Hospital, Nanjing Medical University. Results During a follow-up period of 6 months to 2 years after the operation, all were successfully performed lacrimal canaliculus anastomosis successfully, and 115 patients of them were cured (87.78%), 11 had improvement (8.40%)and 5 had not (3.82%). Conclusion Lacrimal canalicular anastomosis should be treated as soon as possible, and the second phase anastomosis also can achieve good post-operative effect.
